The book represents a selection of papers written by fifty scholars involved in a comparative Research Project entitled “The influence of the European legislation on national legal systems in the field of consumer protection”. The aim of this spontaneous initiative by a group of doctors from distinct (legal and economic) disciplines and different European universities is to realize a scientific in-depth analysis (mainly comparative) in relation to the specified subject, but also to enable continuous, critical confrontation among scientists from several EU Member States and their mobility (even if short term). Research, including the comparative ones, deals with the influence of EU legislation on Consumer protection and the new European contract law on national legislations. The book was also prepared in frame of the NCN Project 2015/17/B/HS/01416 “Protection of a weaker party to the contract”.
